I don’t think she ever realized her cup was near to empty
Acrylic paint, screen printing and mixed media on cradled wood panel
24×12 inches
The transparency and depth of color in this painting are difficult to capture on a screen. It almost glows from within. Rich greens and deep teal blues surround imagery of domestic life – tea sups and doilies. My current work has been looking at the relationship between the individual and cultural norms and systems we inherit. Throughout the piece are woven grids symbols of the systems we all much function in, whether realized or not.
Finished edge, wired and ready to hang.
