I get asked many questions about what I do and how I do it. Sometimes it’s how a certain painting was painted, how long it took, did I have a plan before I started. And sometimes it’s a question more about who I am as a person, how I reconcile the many seemingly contradictory facets of what I do and what I believe. Artist Blog
But very rarely do I get asked why. Why are you an artist? Which is good, because I would have trouble answering that most days. This question, unfortunately, is the one that I am interested in the most. Because most days I think I would choose something else to do, something easy, something safe, something that might actually pay a bill or two. But it’s not meant to be.
So here on these hollow internet pages ( I can’t bring myself to say artist blog) I’m going to ask myself and respond on a regular basis. And even more frighteningly I am going to share it all with whoever stumbles upon it.
With this introduction, enjoy my mess and comment often.
