The handwritten text etched across this piece comes from a 1930’s book of “essential information” in a section about labor laws. It speaks to what is needed to appropriately hold discussions of value between opposing groups. I was captivated by the relevancy of the writing. One line reads ” Agitation and passion, the partial view…and a certain forgetfulness that all kinds of people are human in their interests…have been at the bottom of most of our mistakes in the conduct of the large enterprises…”
