A special thank you to everyone who came out the opening of The Common Quiet. It was a lovely evening made all the more so by reuniting with so many old friends.

There is nothing that smells the same. Fresh oil paint on the palette. linseed oil. wood. I love putting new paint out on the palette; I always put one color that has no business being there. One color that is a challenge for me. That’s that little glob of lavender rose madder there – my challenge for the day.
